Composer and Chinese flutist Yu-Hsin Chang is currently a Ph. D. candidate in music composition and theory at UC Davis. She received her previous degrees (MFA, BFA) from Taiwan. Soundscape miniatures 兩首關於聲音地景的試作 在展演《魔山》、寫作論文的小小小小空檔從學術的洞窟探出頭換氣,耳聞台北捷運站體環境音樂徵稿,徵求融入五個指定捷運站特色的環境聲響、適合於站體內播放的音樂作品。於是(不意外地在截稿日將至之際才)下載了素材包,引述環境聲音、既有音樂片段以及四月初首演的擊樂作品《解構:五》,試作兩首以聲音地景為主軸的短曲。在有限的時間與腦力之下(週末兩天一天一首週二要咪停),只能初步呈現概念式的東西,有非常多的細節留待未來琢磨。邊做邊聽邊修,腦力薄弱時竟然已經點進google flight如果能一鍵下去立即傳送回台灣就好了。 第一首的主題是龍山寺站,音樂情境的引線是祈求神明的指引,進一步傳遞「天助自助」的概念。信仰是台灣傳統文化的重心,也是龍山寺站體周邊最為人稱道的特色。這首作品以環境音與自由創作共同組成,分為三個層面。第一個層面是寺廟之內的聲響:唱經、擲筊、解籤等,展現虔心祈禱的氛圍。第二個層面是寺廟之外的聲響:攤販叫賣聲、北管音樂,營造熱烈熙攘的廟口氛圍。第三個層面是自行創作的打擊樂,使用鑼、鼓、三角鐵等樂器,以節奏鮮明的動機呼應第一、第二個層面的音響以及音樂情境,使三者融合為一。在樂曲的高潮之處,藉由解籤人之口點出標題「天助自助」,傳遞躬行實踐者始得庇蔭的核心意念。 Google Drive連結:《天助自助》 https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5WUjApOJAWELXYwQ3pTZzgxOW8/view?usp=sharing 第二首作品主題是象山站,一個毗鄰塵囂的心曠神怡之處。本樂曲命名為《A Cicada’s Nocturne蟬綿夜曲》。一想到台灣的山與夏天的溫度,就會聽到震耳欲聾的蟬鳴,間歇誘人的鳥聲,以及任性的午後雷雨。使用(來自finale的……)鋼琴、長笛、薩克斯風、鼓、低音提琴交織其間,傳達的是徜徉自然之間浮上心頭的往事。黃昏時分,溽暑消去,漫步蟬聲繚繞的象山(一切只是想像,沒去過RRR),天邊雨雲升起,憶起往事的酸甜。陣雨來到,淨化了塵世凡心,時光彷彿定格於此,靜謐而美好。 Google Drive連結:A Cicada’s Nocturne《蟬綿夜曲》 https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5WUjApOJAWEbVRNRjZJbFBPaEE/view?usp=sharing
